The Lord said to Adam, “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eateth of it for in the day that thou eateth thereof thou shalt surely die” (Genesis. 2:17). The Lord gave Adam just one law. Only one, yet as we know, they couldn’t and didn’t keep it. They ate from the forbidden tree of death, yet little did they know, they had just ingested the knowledge and mind of an evil spirit; The spirit of lies, deception, sickness and death. The day that they ate from that tree was a dreadful day, a very sad dark day indeed.
